The Young Guns participate in a variety of 4-H sponsored competitions on the county, state and national level. We also participate in local, privately sponsored competitions and leagues.
Our next competition is the Cecil County Fair Shoot.
The competition will include a written test, along with shooting in three disciplines: Trap, Skeet and Sporting Clays. Scores will be tabulated, and awards will be presented at the Annual Cecil County Fair 4-H Awards Ceremony.

Rules and Regulations
1. Date and location of event will be announced.
2. Participants must be an active member of the 4-H
shotgun program and have successfully completed the
shotgun orientation prior to the event.
3. Participants Must wear ear and eye protection.
4. the contest will include one round of shooting in each
event, a written test and firearm parts identification.
5. scores will be based on total points earned in each
event plus written test scores.
6. Classes are according to 4-H age as of January 1,.
7. at this time, the shooting sports events are only open
to Cecil County 4-H’ers enrolled by May 1,.
Prizes: 1st – $8 2nd – $7 3rd – $6 4th – $5
