The Practice schedule will be Fridays and Mondays, beginning at 6:30 pm at the Oxford Gun Club, 880 Chrome Road, Oxford PA.
Things to know:
1/ You do not need your own gun if you are new to shooting. The Club has loaner guns you can use. If you don’t have your own gun and are coming to practice, please just email us and let us know so that we can bring one for you!
2/ You can come to as many or as few practices as you like. Remember though, just like any activity, the more you practice the better you will be! You are also encouraged to practice on your own as well.
3/ In order to shoot at the Oxford Gun Club, you need to be a member. Membership is only $30 for the entire year, and the very simple membership form is at the bottom of this page. OGC has been a long-standing, avid supporter of the Cecil County Shooting Sports Program, so please take this opportunity to lend them your support, as well!
4/ For each practice, you will need to bring your own hearing and eye protection, and the shells you intend to shoot. Please note that 4-H’ers are NOT permitted to shoot reloaded shells.
5/ Shells can be purchased at Oxford Gun Club for $7.00. If you have any questions about what to get, please don’t hesitate to ask.
6/ The shooting fee is $5.00 per round of 25 clays, paid at each practice to the Gun Club. CASH only, please!
7/ Also at the bottom of this page is the release form you must fill out for Cecil County 4-H. Both the 4-H’er and a parent must sign it, so please print it out and bring it with you! PLEASE NOTE that you will not be able to shoot without a release form on file— Extension Office rules!
